The sexual assault occurred on the 3800 block of Chestnut Street at approximately 1:50am on May 2, 2023. Suspect Description: Black male, 20 to 30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, with a close haircut, dark hooded Polo zip-up jacket, blue denim jeans with white stitching on the inseam, and peach colored sneakers. The suspect had been armed with a knife which was recovered at the scene. Consider armed and dangerous. If you see this suspect do not approach, contact 911 immediately. The suspect, seen on surveillance video released by authorities, is described as 20 to 30 years old and about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a dark zip-up Polo hoodie, blue jeans with white stitching on the inseam, and "peach-colored" sneakers, the department said.
The suspect was armed with a knife during the assault, but the weapon was recovered by police, according to the release. He is still considered "armed and dangerous" by investigators and residents should call 911 if spotted.
